They say in life you need the right amount of passion. I’d say you need the right amount of anger. I finally got the motivation that infuriated me inside. I knew I was fed up because I became silent about how bothered I truly was. I told myself this is going to be the first time in years, I channel my anger into something so positive that I’m going to change my life forever. I could hear Frank Sinantra’s song, “New York, New York,” playing. “Start spreading the news. I want to be a part of it, New York, New York.” Then Jay-z’s song, “Empire State of Mind,” followed after. “Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there’s nothing you can’t do, now that you’re in New York.” It reminded me of my early young adult days, when I used to go to New York multiple times a year. I was inspired by the lights.
